Barcelona played very good in the defence. Our back players didn’t have a good day, which is proved by the statistics. When you have weak back players, your opponent gets the chance for counter attacks and goals. We could win the Russian league, but we could not beat Barcelona. Yet we have played successfully against other Spanish teams, so in Spain we would be the number three after Barcelona and Ciudad Real.

We lost this match in the beginning. We were nervous and Barcelona was leading with five or six goals. A strong team like Barcelona can maintain a difference like this until the end. Barcelona played very hard and efficient.

It was a tough game. We had maximal respect towards our opponent – we knew Chekhov’s offence and defence very well. I am proud of my team. Looking at the statistics, most of my player scored. It was a very good game.
