83.500 m² effective surface, state of the art stagecraft, more than 18.000 seats, a video cube of 20 tons, sound equipment with up to 70.000 Watt, an event area that can be converted from a playing field to a concert stage, an ice rink or a unique cinema within hours … this is the LANXESS arena, one of the largest and most up to date multifunctional venues in Europe.

The LANXESS arena is run by the ARENA Management GmbH, the operating company with around 1.000 employees in charge of the programme, the event catering, the handling and marketing.

The LANXESS arena’s spectrum as an event venue is huge, as it is a home of sports and show stars as well as of international conferences, conventions and presentations. The arena offers full service to meet any demand quickly, conveniently and with competence. The programming, organisation, event management, Marketing, PR, ticketing, catering, technical services and production management are combined to comply with the custumer oriented general concept.

The LANXESS arena can host presentations within a range of 100 to 20.000 persons perfectly. Since the arena’s opening in 1998, it has given welcome to over 20 million guests.

Largest and most modern indoor video
cube of the world

The LANXESS arena’s video cube consists of four video screens guaranteeing every spectator an additional perspective to any action on stage, off stage as well as video clips and presentations – crystal clear animation, an eye catcher! At sports events in the LANXESS arena, each screen is split into scoreboards and video displays. This way, up to eight different feeds can be displayed at a time. At concerts or company presentations, each display can be used for full screen feeds.
